Grant Research, Preparation, Management, and More

The Snay Group is a full-service grants team providing everything from identification of grant opportunities to reporting on results of grant awards. Specific services include organizational consultation to best prepare organizations to secure grants (as needed), prospect research, proposal planning and development, budget development, and grants management/reporting; all to maximize initial and continued grant awards for your organization.

Direct Services: Grant Research, Preparation, Reporting and More

  1. Consultation – to determine the likelihood of your organization’s success in securing continuing and/or new private and public grant awards
  2. Prospect Research – local, regional and national search of public and private grant sources based on each organization’s mission and programs as well as types of funding needed
  3. RFP Analysis – thorough review of each Grant Program Request for Proposals (RFP), NOFA, ITN, guidelines, etc. and preparation of detailed information request and proposed submission timeline
  4. Access to “insider” information on some public and private grantor priorities, preferences and requirements
  5. Grant Writing – letters of inquiry, pre-applications, proposals and applications that meet or exceed grant maker requirements. These may include:
    • Compelling Proposal Narratives – concise and well-written that clearly describe your organization’s program(s) including those with character or word limits
    • Program Design and Implementation – in-depth information gathering; program planning and design; plans of action and timelines
    • Budget Development – guidance developing transparent, informative program budgets and budget narratives
    • Compelling Need Statements – identification of current scientific, social and demographic research on target population/community needs and problems
    • SMART Objectives and Evaluation – development of measurable outcomes and description of evaluation methods and processes to ensure grantor satisfaction
  6. Report Preparation – specific report requirements and generic reports to assist with grantor stewardship

Executive Grants Coaching and Assistance: To Build Grant Research, Preparation and Reporting Capacity

  1. One-on-one Grants Coaching Sessions – tailored to each organization, including grant-specific guidance and “insider tips” for executive staff to build their capacity to identify prospective grant opportunities; plus editing assistance in developing award-winning letters of inquiry, pre-applications and all components of full applications and grant proposals; and guidance in effective grant reporting
  2. Guided Prospect Research – list of potential prospects plus guidance for organization to complete strategic identification of grant makers most likely to award grants in support of their programs
  3. Pre-Submission Grant Proposal Review – perusal of organization’s grant proposal and/or individual proposal components to ensure all RFP or grant guidelines are met, including specific recommendations for maximizing proposal impact on reviewers
  4. Development of Individual Application Components – to strengthen organization’s basic proposals
  5. Budget Development – guidance developing transparent, informative organizational and program budgets plus budget narratives
  6. Interim and Final Reports – assistance preparing or review of reports to assist with grantor stewardship
