Bentonne Snay

Bentonne SnayPresident & CEO: Bentonne Snay is an experienced executive and fundraiser with more than 35 years in the nonprofit sector. She has both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Administration from Florida International University where she specialized in the understanding and improvement of human service organizations. Bentonne is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Grant Professionals Association. She previously served as Miami Chapter President for both associations and has been a Grant Professional Certified since 2011. She is proficient in all areas of fund development and excels at the identification of well-matched grant opportunities as well as the development of award-winning grant proposals and compelling reports.

Prior to becoming an independent fundraising consultant, Bentonne held several positions including Dean of Students at the Academy for Community Education, an alternative high school designed to provide a preventive approach to students at risk of dropping out. She was founding Executive Director of Communities in Schools of Miami, Inc., a more comprehensive approach to dropout prevention. In 1997, Bentonne was asked to help start a philanthropic initiative for the Burger King system throughout North America. This initial 5-month project became a 5-year commitment for Bentonne, raising more than $15 million, establishing a $4.5 million endowment, and providing nearly 4,000 scholarship awards through what became the Burger King/McLamore Foundation. In 2002, Bentonne left the Foundation and became the CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Miami where she helped develop strategic plans, revitalize a stalled capital campaign, and restructure the organization to be more cost-effective and results-oriented in less than one year.

At the end of 2003, Bentonne re-established The Snay Group and has since served the planning, development and reporting needs of a variety of organizations whose operating budgets have ranged from $350,000 to $50 million annually. Since 2003, The Snay Group has secured more than $30 million in grant awards for a grand total of more than $40 million raised through July 2018.

Danielle St. Luce

Joining The Snay Group in April 2018, Danielle is a quick learner interested in serving impactful Miami-Dade nonprofit organizations through grants work. A Miami-native, Danielle completed her secondary education in Togo, West Africa.  From there, she attended Cornell University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science from the School of Industrial and Labor Relations. She joined The Snay Group with administrative experience working on projects with several local organizations. These include the Wolfsonian – FIU, Nova-Southeastern University, the Art Africa Miami Fair and Miami City Ballet. Danielle also serves in volunteer leadership roles with the Coalition of Pan-African Scholars and alumni organization, Cornell Club of Greater Miami.
